The testing event is for individuals with an appointment and currently experiencing symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, recent loss of taste or smell) or those who work in a health care setting.
To be evaluated and scheduled for an appointment, call 941-861-2883 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Callers will be screened using current CDC testing criteria.
This round of testing is being held in in cooperation with Bethlehem Bible Church (Rev. Patrick Miller), Suncoast Women of Action (Helen James, president and vice-president Glenda Green), and Trinity Christian Fellowship Center (Rev. Vincent Smith III).
A state drive-thru testing site is also open daily at the Mall at University Town Center for residents in Sarasota and Manatee counties. Testing is available for anyone over the age of 18 regardless of symptoms and will take place seven days per week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or until daily testing capacity is reached.
