Have you seen the new website created by the fired scientist Rebekah Jones? FloridaCOVIDAction.com

It is on the front page of today’s Herald-Tribune in Sarasota June 13, 2020.

“showing far more COVID-19 information than she said the state allowed her to report as an employee, including statistics contradicting Florida’s official coronavirus numbers and the push to reopen the state.”

The primary difference in the case numbers on the new dashboard as compared to the FDOH dashboard is that the number of positive antibody tests is added to the case numbers established from positive swab tests.

They are including information that we have been pulling from FDEM to augment FDOH data.

So, the wonderful additional information on the new dashboard includes data that is available on other feeds or platforms, but is compiled here:
  • Economic and Social Impact of COVID
  • Percent unemployed
  • A Breakout on Bed availability by facility, ER admissions and ICU Beds
  • Test sites!!! (These are very difficult to keep up with, since some are only open in one location for 4 hours. This is the 4th test site source we will add to our protocol. There is no substitute for people in the community posting the changes, because sometimes the sites are closed if there isn't enough demand, but no announcement is published.)
Also included on the new dashboard are:
  • A social distancing score (calculated by average distance from pre-COVID-19 days, visits to non-essential venues, and changes in encounter density
  • A Reopening Report Card score
