Spanish Resource Page Connected to the Community Dashboards in Sarasota and Orange County

The Spanish Resources pages that include the material we initially compiled and the information and input I received from bilingual Work Group members in the different Resilient American Communities has been localized and attached to each of the Dashboards. Thank you for the great resources and for your trained eyes to clean up the language.

We will be figuring out the best way of notifying people who use the Dashboards that they can access the Spanish Resources page. For now there is just a small button uner the header on the right. We can now speak with the people in each geography who are making the decisions about what the English Dashboard looks like about the connection. If you have ideas, please let me know.

Elvira and Sarah,

There is interest in adding Manatee County to the Sarasota effort. Is there anything we would need to change on the Spanish resources page for Manatee County?

Here are direct links:

Orange County Dashboard

Orange County Spanish Resources Page The page has the password removed, but I only put one radio station and one TV station that looked like they were covering COVID. It looks like there are many, so they can be added when we get input from the local Hispanic community. Fr. José, can you help with that?

Bay County Dashboard

Bay County Spanish Resources Page This is still password protected because I'm waiting for information on radio and television outlets from the reviewers.

Comments

Dear Janice,

The page looks good and it will be a good idea to share it with Manatee County. I don’t see anything to add.
However, I saw a few little things that could be revised:

On the top: It would be better to say “Control y prevención de la enfermedad”.  Thus, there is no need of the plural that makes the line long and in two lines.
Below the video clips, I found two mistakes:  "Qué hacer si se siente (no siente)…,  "Discapacidad pagada para trabajadores…” and  Primera fase de la reapertura económica" needs an accent.
With that, the page looks great.

Thanks a lot,

Elvira

Thank you, Elvira!

I made your changes on the 4 community dashboards that we have created. 3 are in Florida (Bay Co, Orange Co. and Sarasota Co). The Sarasota County one will be used in Manatee County, so that is really great! The 4th is in Ashe County, NC.

Thank you for all your help on this. I hope it helps to keep more people safe and on top of all the changes in the workplace.

Janice T. Booher

Thanks, Janice.
