Baseline Climate Action Planning Survey for Review and Discussion

Both Lawanna and Dr. Jones have said that they want to survey at their Community Meetings.

I posted this link on our WhatsApp Group as well:

I shared Dr. Jones in with editing privileges so she tailor it for her community. Please enter any thoughts you have in the WhatsApp group so we can share ideas.

Health and Climate Change Materials

Hi Dedre,

A Study of Financial Hardship in Florida

The 2016 report on Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed in Florida includes this Survival Budget for a single person and one for a family with 2 adults, a preschooler and an infant.

Health and Climate Change

Here is the video on Health Effects of Climate Change prepared under the EPA Environmental Justice Grant to Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Boca Raton in 2015. Here is the accompanying Health and Climate PowerPoint

I presented this for many years, and others have downloaded and presented it by using these materials from the ReACTToolKit to prepare.

Community Driven Climate Resilience Planning

Read about a Community-Driven Climate Adaptation Planning

As you read, you will recognize that we have done work with the Florida Disaster Resilience Initiative to assess community vulnerabilities and assets and to record solutions proposed at community forums, in interviews and on surveys.

Shared Vulnerabilities Among the Four Planning Communities

About the Bloomberg American Cities Climate Challenge Grant

The $30,000 Bloomberg American Cities Planning Grant will fund a planning process, with technical support, to create a Climate Action Plan in Mercy Drive, Parramore, Holden Heights and Downtown Orlando. Each community will also receive 30 solar lanterns, 83 weatherization kits, and a solar portable power kit that can charge charge electronic devices.

Holden Heights Survey Results

The Mercy Drive, Parramore, Downtown Orlando and Holden Heights communities have received a $30,000 planning grant to create a Climate Action Plan that builds on the results of the community forums and surveys done in the community.

Here is a link to the Holden Heights Community Dashboard, where you will find your Survey Results.
