Food Distribution at Ed Smith Stadium on May 16th

All Faiths Food Bank is organizing a mass food distribution on May 16th at Ed Smith Stadium (2700 12th Street) to help residents impacted by COVID-19. The distribution will be first come, first-served and will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until food runs out or 2 p.m. The National Guard will provide on-site assistance with the massive effort.

More Testing Sites

The Department of Health-Sarasota is scheduled to host three appointment-only COVID-19 drive-thru testing sites throughout Sarasota County next week. The testing is for anyone who is currently experiencing symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath or diffi culty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell) or who works in a health care setting. To date, DOH Sarasota has tested more than 1,500 people through communitybased testing events.

Masks available in Manatee County

Manatee County residents in some of the area’s most impacted COVID-19 communities have a chance to get a free face mask to guard against the coronavirus. The distribution opportunities will take place in some of Manatee County’s most populated areas.
